The best day of run, jump, throw

We had run, jump, throw and the coach that was teaching us was coach Declan. He told us how to throw a shock ball at wickets. We played a running paper, scissors, rock game. We learned how to throw a discus and shot put. It was challenging but a lot of room 9 threw it far. I think we have the future Valerie Adams at Ruapotaka.

The Botanic Gardens

Ruapotaka went to the botanical garden. We walked through the gardens and saw different flower, plants and trees. It was a big garden. One thing I learned is that Pohutukawa is a native tree in New Zealand. It's also our native Christmas tree. I also learned ]about the Magnolia flower and it smelled very nice. There were worms that ate scraps in a glass box and we could only see them if we lifted a dirty cloth.

Malo lelei,

Hi,My name is Brazie and I am Maori. I am nine years old I go to Ruapotaka Primary School and I am year 5. I am in room nine and my teacher is Miss Misela. My parent’s names are Krystal and Lawrence. I have one brother and his name is Chevy-ray. I really wish I had a pet dog, I would call him Jack. I would teach him how to do tricks and play fetch with him.

My favourite subject is sport. I especially love to play soccer because I like to block the ball in the goal and I like to kick the ball into the goal. I also love to play basketball because I like to shoot the hoop and get three pointers. I am good at basketball because I play at school with my friends and I pretend there is a hoop at home when I play.
